God is Love. Meaning, the fullness of love can be experienced or manifested in us and through us when we know, believe and embrace this fact.
On the other hand, it means that when we are not connected to God or we have not opened our hearts to allow Jesus to dwell in us, then brokennes is inevitable.
The Good News is, Jesus is the Healer of broken hearts and for centuries past, He has been found Faithful.
When we embrace this truth, it means we are covered irrespective of our state of heart, body or mind. We are only complete in Him
